There's a restaurant in Sumter, SC that used to serve alcoholic milkshakes that were to DIE for. We would go all the time just to sit at the bar and have a milkshake, but they aren't on the menu anymore! We decided to make our own one night and we drew inspiration from a boozy milkshake that we've had back in Cleveland at Michael Symon's burger joint, The B Spot, that took a slice of apple pie, vanilla bean, and fresh bacon bits and mixed it all up to make the most unique yet strangly addicting concoction. I wasn't about to make an entire apple pie at 5pm on a Tuesday for one milkshake, so we ran to the store and found some caramel apple ice cream and went from there.
The final product was delightfully thick, had a fair amount of bacon, and enough apple flavor to compliment the bourbon we threw in there. 10/10 would make again.
