My mom made these all the time when I was a kid. No wonder because they're incredibly easy to make and super addicting. When I was a kid, I used to call these road kill cookies, and I've heard them called cow patties and it's true, they're not the most attractive looking cookie out there, but I guarantee they're easily the most delicious!
I'll go as far as saying these are my absolute favorite cookies. They're chewy and melt in your mouth delicious. I made these for the 4th of July this year and I single-handedly ate about 77% of them.

Servings: 2 dozen
Prep Time: 10 min
Total Time: 45 min
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup milk
4 Tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups oats
DIRECTIONS:
Line part of your counter with parchment paper.
Bring sugar, butter, milk, and cocoa powder to a boil in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously so it doesn't burn. Once it has reached a boil, let it boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and immediately stir in the peanut butter, vanilla, and oats. Mix until all combined.
Drop the mixture by the spoonful onto the parchment paper. Allow the cookies to set at room temperature for about a half hour. Enjoy!
